BIG FISH GAMESGREEN SCREEN PHOTO BOOTHParamount Theater - Seattle, WA

GREEN SCREEN PHOTO BOOTH

On Saturday, May 21st 2016 we had the pleasure of providing not just one, but 2 photo booths for the annual Big Fish Games company party. And these were not just any company party photo booths… They were each a green screen photo booth consisting of 8 incredible, custom-designed backgrounds produced by the intensely talented Big Fish creative department.

Actually, one of the booths had a green screen background while the other featured a blue screen. The party was billed as ‘Comic Prom’ and since people would be coming in all manner of costume, it was determined that having a green screen booth AND a blue screen booth would be the best tack to ensure people in green didn’t disappear into the background. This was a brilliant decision for technical reasons and for keeping the line moving for the 500+ guests.

The Big Fish team also went the extra distance to produce custom, comic-themed artwork for what would serve as their printed strips. Here is a rendering of the full artwork in addition to an example with guest images.

As two booths and this many guests is a bit more of a production than usual, yet another great decision was made to have a third Party Ambassador (what we call our professional booth attendants) helping folks to identify their digital background choice and direct them to the appropriate booth based on their clothing color. And Ashley, the line facilitator this evening, took it up a notch and rocked the event in full cosplay mode as Harley Quinn!

In addition to the Seattle skyline image at the top, here are the 7 remaining and AMAZING backgrounds people got to choose from:

GEORGETOWN BALLROOM PHOTO BOOTH

The busy holiday season continues to surge and we had the great pleasure of joining Schuchart/Dow for their holiday party and providing a Georgetown Ballroom photo booth experience for them and their guests like no other. Georgetown Ballroom is a fantastic place to host a party with two large adjoining spaces providing ample room for company parties, charity events, weddings, record release parties and much much. Schuchart/Dow are one of the Pacific Northwest’s leading custom builders with an incredibly deep bench of talented designers, carpenters, builders and project managers responsible for some of Seattle’s most renowned landmark buildings. In working with our contact there we came up with a very simple design for their printed strips based on our Minimalist theme and incorporating their logo to produce a result that paired really well with their choice of our Gatsby deluxe photo booth background. Printed strip examples from a Georgetown Ballroom Photo Booth The night got off to a fun and rocking start with nice participation from the adults, but the booth really got a run for the money from all the kids that kept coming back for more and more fun. Our prop trunk provided the inspiration while the Schuchart/Dow folks brought down the house! TITAN ELECTRICHARD ROCK SEATTLE PHOTO BOOTHSeattle, WA

HARD ROCK SEATTLE PHOTO BOOTH

Titan Electric chose us for their Hard Rock Seattle photo booth celebrating their 14th anniversary party. Utilizing all the vibe of the Hard Rock Cafe in Seattle, they had a HUGE party complete with a Rock & Roll motif that included costumes, VIP lanyards, an epic raffle with the winner headed to Hawaii for 7 nights and a great live karaoke rock band!

We customized our Minimalist template for their guests to have printed strips with the Titan Electric logo. They look clean and simple, yes? It’s so simple to make custom designs and prints for your event too.

Custom designed strips for Titan Electric's Hard Rock Seattle photo booth.

This was our very first event using our Noir backdrop and it was the perfect match for the rock and roll attitude and epic party of 200+ guests dressed as classic rockers from over the years. The food… Oh, the food! They had 3 stations from three parts of the world that was nothing short of AMAZING.

We were in the southwest corner of the venue with the booth facing south against the windows – We were a little cramped and blocking the walking area on that side of the venue, but it all turned out OK. The booth was used steadily and well attended until U-Rock began performing their unique and fun brand of band-based karaoke. No one could pry themselves from that once U-Rock got crackin.

FUSION BEADSHARD ROCK CAFE PHOTO BOOTHSeattle, WA

HARD ROCK CAFE PHOTO BOOTH

We just wrapped a fun anniversary party for Fusion Beads, one of the Pacific Northwest region’s small business success stories having evolved from a retail store opened in 1997 to a booming online retailer with a very, very happy team. How happy? Just look at how they rocked their photo booth!

We supplied the set-up and basic vibe, but the Fusion Beads folks adorned our White Sparkle backdrop with bead-inspired design motifs gleaned from their party invitation that also made it to the design of their strips.

This was our first trip to the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Seattle and oh, what a delight! A Hard Rock Cafe photo booth is the perfect venue for a company party where people want to get their party on – With two floors, a bar area an outdoor terrace with stunning Seattle views and their own Rock club, it’s got it all and then some.

THE YOUNG EVILSRECORD RELEASE PHOTO BOOTHVermillion - Seattle, WA

RECORD RELEASE PHOTO BOOTH

Serving as a record release photo booth the promotion of the new EP by Seattle band The Young Evils at Vermillion gallery was a hoot, a holler and a roaring good time with members from the music and culture communities turning out in force for this event sponsored by Do206 and Goose Island Brewing.

Vermillion starts off as a narrow art gallery that funnels into a bar and performance space. The gallery provided a great spot for us to set up with the backdrop on one side and the booth system nearing the other. Guest arrivals had almost no choice but to hop in the booth on their way to getting a drink and hanging with the punters in the performance area.

Do206’s General Manager Jay Cox pulled out all the stops and even lined up a HUGE step and repeat banner for the background that featured the logos for The Young Evils, Do206 and Goose Island Brewing. This is a GREAT way to get your brand and messaging across to guests while also continuing to reap the benefits as the images are shared via social media.

NikeCORPORATE PHOTO BOOTHSuper Jock & Jill - Seattle, WA

CORPORATE PHOTO BOOTH

Serving as a corporate photo booth to kick off the high school cross country running season, our booth was located inside Green Lake’s Super Jock & Jill running retail store for a celebratory event sponsored by Nike.

A long-running tradition was in effect where area high school teens assemble to play games, drink a lot of soda and enjoy Top Pot donuts while they wait for the clock to tick over to midnight – They wait until midnight so they can begin running and training with coaches and in compliance with the rules that state the first day of the season.

Waiting to run around Green Lake with a bunch of teammates and coaches at midnight? That takes some dedication! And with stomachs full of soda and donuts no less.

The booth was a beehive of activity as packs of teens came through en route to donut refills and back to their pre-func area around the corner from Super Jock & Jill – A space belonging to Billings Middle School that the event organizers secured for the games and sign decorating.

And speaking of the event organizers – It was great to work with a marketing representative from Nike to be a part of this function. Printing was something that was requested so this was our first event providing professional, near-instant, on-site prints for guests. The robust dye-sublimation printing process is designed to WORK and keep the prints coming all event long.

MICROSOFTCORPORATE PHOTO BOOTHWaterways Cruises, Seattle WA

CORPORATE PHOTO BOOTH

Serving as a corporate photo booth to celebrate accomplishments for Microsoft’s Cloud and Enterprise Engineering team, our booth was stationed inside a Waterways Cruises vessel and picked up the Microsoft team as they were wrapping up the first part of their party at Seattle’s beloved MOHAI (Museum of History and Industry) at the south end of Lake Union.

On board the vessel was the fabulous event coordinator Kellie Bielema of Shindig Events and the one, the only… Superstar DJ Austin Beaver. This was sure to be a great party between the event fine tuning of Ms. Bielema and the non-stop hits of Austin. And it was.

After the Microsoft team boarded we cruised up the east side of Lake Union to admire all of the house boats en route to Lake Washington. The team wasted no time getting into the booth while hamming it up with a combination of props Kellie supplied, including clouds on sticks (cloud computing… get it?) and our prop trunk.

We slipped through the Montlake cut past all of the UW Crew graffiti and on to the open space of Lake Washington. Once there we headed south to Mercer Island where our captain/tour guide pointed out the home of Paul Allen, Microsoft co-founder, before cruising north to peek at Bellevue’s Meydenbauer Bay.

Still continuing north guests admired the beautiful homes along the shore, with a long stop outside of Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates’ Medina home. The captain/tour guide shared some interesting facts about the home that included tidbits like: The long, sloped driveway is heated so that it’s safely usable the entire year, that there is parking available under the house for 23 cars and that the waterfront sand was imported from the Caribbean.

The tour continued for a total of three hours while guests soaked up the scenery, grooved to Austin’s music, enjoyed tasty nibbles and kept the booth busy for the entire event.
